Envision

Photography starts with vision.  That sounds like a no-brainer, but good photography goes far beyond what you see with your eyes.  It's pushing yourself to see what's not being seen by others.  It's using your "mind's-eye" to envision how the scene will be rendered through your lens, and creating an image that will capture the viewer's imagination.

Passion

Being passionate about photography results in passionate photographs.  As with any art, a photographer's passion is evident in their photos.  I am deeply passionate about my photography, and it is my constant goal to attempt to capture and evoke emotion through my lens.

PEOPLE, PLACES, & THINGs

"Sucking the marrow out of life" is how Thoreau put it.  That's the way I strive to live and the way I try to take photographs, whether I'm taking pictures of people, places, or things.  The passion is always there--the challenge is to see it and embrace it, which of course isn't always easy to do in our busy lives.  I hope you "see the passion" in my photography, and I hope to help capture some of your passion. Whether it’s engagement, maternity, wedding, portrait, or landscape photography, I will be honored to celebrate life with you!

Adventure

The willingness to be adventurous opens up the possibilities for taking photographs that can transport the viewer to another world.

No Limits

Although a sense of adventure is self-evident in mountain-themed photography, I approach all of my photography with a sense of adventure.  Indeed, I find that approaching every assignment this way results in captivating photographs.  Whether the subject is a dramatic landscape, striking wildlife, or an intimate couple, there are no limits to an adventurous approach to photography.
