That's me on the summit of Forbidden Peak.  Photo taken by my climbing partner, Jason Dionne.

I began my adventure in photography with my dad's Nikon EM when I was in 7th grade.  I remember reading the manual from cover-to-cover and practicing my newfound art every chance I got.  I was hooked.  Ever since then, I have been passionate about trying to capture the best images I can.  As photography has evolved, so have I, and I continue to grow daily in my craft.  I love the challenges of photography, as it is truly an impossible attempt to capture emotion in an image.  Still, I continue in this impossible pursuit, and having to blend technical mastery with artistic vision is something that I find deeply rewarding.

I am also a mountaineer, which gives me the profound honor of being in some of the most remote, astoundingly beautiful locations on Earth.  As a photographer, this gives me the opportunity to take photos of some incredibly inspiring landscapes, many of which you can see in my portfolio.  I find some interesting overall connections between mountaineering and photography--both require specialized gear, technical proficiency, pre-planning, adaptability, problem-solving, mind-body connection, a commitment to continual growth and learning, and a healthy blend of confidence and humility.

As a photographer, I approach every assignment with the utmost of dedication, as it is my goal to deliver photographs that make people say "wow!"  From natural light to artificial light, and from location to studio work, I enjoy and embrace the endless challenges photography has to offer.  If I ever have the honor of making photographs for you, I will push myself to leave you absolutely thrilled with the results.

Ultimately, I am a husband and a father, and my family's love is the driving force behind all that I do.
